AeroLEF® has been specifically designed to fulfill unmet needs by providing rapid and extended analgesia, tailored for each episode of moderate to severe acute pain. A patient continues to inhale until the dose provides appropriate pain relief. This self-titration ensures a tailored dose unique to each individual pain episode.

AeroLEF Phase I pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies confirmed that appropriate therapeutic plasma concentrations (0.5 to 2 ng/mL) are achieved during inhalation dosing. In addition, the maximum plasma concentration is realized at the end of dosing, an outcome that offers the potential for patients to safely self-titrate their AeroLEF to meaningful analgesia and avoid the delayed, and significant overshoot and dose stacking issues associated with current fixed dose delivery methods.
